Happy Birthday Rin & Len!

Well, I might be a day late in some timezones, but for me it’s only the morning of the 27th. December 27th marks Rin & Len Kagamine’s first birthday. I figured I should do a birthday post for the Kagamine twins since I did one for Miku. So I present you a small gallery of pictures and a few videos. Happy Birthday Rin & Len! If you haven’t seen them before you might be interested in my Figma Rin & Len posts, or perhaps the Figma Vocaloid2 group post. There’s also the Crazy Kagamine Video, and Vocaloid – Kagamine Twins post for more pictures and videos.

Very First attempt at Cosplay/Recieved Yoko Mousepad FINALLY!!:D

Well, this is my birthday goodies!:D Although a day late was still a lot of fun! And yes, I got impatient and started cutting the cake before anyone could take pictures! Oops!:P

PangYa Albatross18
This is a game I really enjoy playing, and also sprouted a major interest in cosplay for me!:D
As promised here is my rendition of a Kooh cosplay, not the greatest yet, but for spontaneousness and quick outfit changes this is what I already had laying around and put together myself!:D Hope you all enjoy!:D Hoping to add onto this costume in the future.:D
Also, at a later time will cosplay Ohno and Ougie from “Genshiken”!:D I can already see where an addiction comes from doing cosplay!:D Had way too much fun with this today, once my brain started thinking about poses more!:D:P

AND NOW For the other half of this post…
Finally recieved Yoko Mousepad in the mail!:D:D Waited so impatiently for this even though in reality it didn’t take very long for it to ship. 😛 This was the one present that I wanted for my birthday, and, although a day late, am very happy with it!:D I was surprised at the weight of the mousepad… and the box it came in looked very cool… pictures below:

The Birthday Stash

Well it’s a few days after my birthday now, but I never did show what I got that day besides the figmas that had arrived early. I think I went a little overboard on spending, but at least my wife and son got stuff too. Here’s my stash of goodies that I got. So, the Dirty Japanese book the wife picked out, but once I read some of it I couldn’t resist, gah! Survival Japanese book is really cool, having the Kanji/Kana and Romaji and even proper pronunciation of many useful words and sentences. I’m pretty sure I mentioned before that I’m trying to learn to read, write and speak Japanese basically on my own. Along with my Kana de Manga book, and numerous bookmarked websites these books should help. So my mom came over and switched my DS’s default language to Japanese to mess with me, I think I’ll keep it like that though 😛 It doesn’t affect the actual games so why not. I only have one game so far, and only got it cuz it’s been ages since I played a Zelda game. Anyone know any good games for Nintendo DS? I know I saw some Kanji games in full Japanese for people that have 1-3 years of language study on J-list. I’ll wait a while before I get any of those though, I want to be able to actually read them first. So is there much in the way of anime related games for the DS? I’ve heard a little but any suggestions are more than welcome.

My wife ended up getting a cool looking Japanese doll too, that I found in a really old looking bookstore while walking around downtown. I’m sure she’ll post it up on her blog eventually.

Konata Izumi Winter Uniform Ver. Figma

Well, it’s my 26th birthday today, so as I said before I’ll be reviewing Konata Izumi, Nanoha Takamachi and Fate T. Harlaown figmas today. I’ll start off with Konata, then I gotta run and do something with the family ^^ I’ll do Nanoha and Fate later today!

So, I opened her up and her original face and her hair was a little loose, it comes off a little too easily, but, it’s not enough to keep me from being happy. The other face fits quite securely, even if the hair is still sorta loose. I’ll probably just add something later to make it fit more tightly, but as you can see I did manage to pose her just fine. I was excited about this figma since it was announced, and I’m not really disappointed. I love Konata too much to be deterred by a little loose face syndrome 😛 Hmm, well my wife and I plan on doing something today (not sure what or where) and since it’s my birthday I shouldn’t just sit around the house all day I guess, so I’ll leave you with these pictures. If you’re a fan of Lucky Star, and you’re not turned off by a simple loose face/hair that can be fixed, or action figures in general (there’s plenty who don’t like them), don’t miss out on this figure. The chocolate cornet is actually attached to the hand, that’s something I didn’t know before. Well then, I’ll be back later! Look forward to Nanoha and Fate!

Little end note: these aren’t all the pictures I took and not really a great review, I apologize. Perhaps I’ll add more later on?
